Hey there! Its been a while!
February 27th, 2009
I have been buried deep in Wondaland, finishing Suites II & III! I have also been sky diving, learning to play chess, and swimming in the Black Seal. I have been SO inspired and full of new ideas that I needed to purge them all out! I must say that I am overwhelmed and highly excited about the new tunes! Can’t wait to share the new art with you! It takes me to so many places.:)
As well, I will be on tour with No Doubt this Summer! I have always been a big No Doubt supporter, so I am thankful that I was asked to play alongside such an amazing band! Really cool artists like Bedouin Sound Clash, The Sounds, and Paramore will also be on the tour! Can’t wait to meet them all!:)
The Mone’s and I will be playing new tunes! Can’t wait to create magic and pop like a jumping firecracker!I hope to see you on the dates listed below!
If you can’t make it, send a friend, loved one, ex lover, etc!
I appreciate your efforts!:)Thanks so much for continuing to believe in my message, art, and mission! I love you guys and couldn’t have asked for better supporters than you! xoxo!
Until next time!
Off to riding zebras…
Sincerely,
JM

March 3rd, 2009 at 5:36 pmHey JM.. Glad that you posted something. I was worried that Droid Patrol had you locked up for a moment. Glad that you are at a creative place. I will be attending your ATL concert.. FRONT ROW BABY (A3)!!!!
I want to thank you for being such a wonderful example of how a lady should carry herself. You inspire me everyday. Much love on the tour. The world is your platform.

March 3rd, 2009 at 5:48 pmSo great to hear from you again! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to The Chase Suite, haha =P Not that you’d read this, but I used many moons for a government song project, and (mostly) everyone loved it! Can’t wait to hear the new music and album! (I feel like I’m using much more exclamation marks than usual, but honestly, if anyone deserves them, it’s you)

Honestly, I can’t remember how your ‘Suite I’ got onto my ipod. I had it on shuffle and ‘Sincerely, Jane’ played. Initial reaction was; “this is alright”. Checked the cd artwork, it was dope. So I subsequently played all of your music. Different, but dope. Long story short, you have a fan.
“Alien from outerspace…”
Peace.

March 10th, 2009 at 1:12 pmGlad to hear that you are enjoying life and experiencing all that makes you happy. But, from a purely selfish standpoint, could you please not skydive again? We can’t risk loosing you… Better yet, don’t do nuthin’ but sit there and make music. Oh, and play chess.

Hello Miss Monae!
March 15th, 2009 at 9:24 pmI think I’m gonna have to call myself a fan of yours now- I was at a local Barnes and Noble and picked an issue of “The Spin” magazine, I think. Anyway, I saw a picture of you and was immediately intrigued by your style; ( I think that androgyny is the best thing to happen to women’s fashion since the era of the Roaring 20s). I would like to thank you. Thank you for being a completely unconventional artist for exposing more black females-like me-who would rather not conform to the standards and mores about appearance established by our communities.
I’d also like to mention that I must have watched your short film for Many Moons like 12 times…so far…>_^ your music ear-catching and soul-gripping- and above all things, FUN!
I hope this reaches you (directly). But even if it doesn’t, I just wanted to say thank you, Janelle. Thank you.
